Overview

I built the self-serve ads platform at grow.chowdeck.com — a tool that lets external or third-party partners create, manage, and measure sponsored placements across the Chowdeck storefront and customer app. I also built the same feature inside the Vendor Dashboard, giving Chowdeck's own restaurant vendors direct access without leaving the platform they already use.

Placement types span top-page banners, mid-page banners, featured listings, push notifications, and in-app notifications. Featured and Explore listings work differently: there are a fixed number of spots each week, and partners bid for them. The highest bidder per slot wins. It's competitive, transparent, and entirely self-managing.

The design goal was zero support overhead. A partner with no marketing background can go from signup to live campaign in under ten minutes. The operations team reviews and clears campaigns in under 24 hours. Impression and click data flows in from across the customer app and web storefront; queued and routed through by colleagues who had built those surfaces.

What I built
→ Built the multi-step campaign creation flow — placement selection, targeting, budget, scheduling, and creative upload
→ Config-driven form builder that adapts the creation flow to each placement type
→ Real-time analytics dashboard with impression, click, and CTR tracking per campaign
→ Bidding interface for Featured and Explore listing slots — weekly auction with live bid visibility
→ Wallet top-ups, invoice generation, and spend tracking
→ Role-based access control for partner account management
→ Shipped the same ads experience inside the Vendor Dashboard so Chowdeck's own restaurant vendors can run campaigns without leaving their existing workspace
